I’m BEYOND excited to share my new brand and website with you! Four years ago, I dove head first into entrepreneurship and built a business around styling brides for all the events around their wedding and the Big Day. I named my business Trousseau Style after the definition of “trousseau.”
As my business grew, so did my clients. The brides I worked with got job promotions, became mothers and felt the need to update their wardrobe with care and guidance. I also started working with clients completely outside of the bridal realm. Women who got their first job, who recently retired, changed sizes and were ready to build a wardrobe that reflected their current lifestyle.
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know these women, I’ve learned their wardrobe challenges and helped them overcome them. My favorite part of my job is seeing a client feel comfortable, confident and beautiful in her clothing. I can see the shift with my own eyes, and it’s incredibly powerful and moving.
With my clients in mind, I decided I needed a brand to reflect these inspiring women.
And while I no longer work exclusively with brides or married people, the name remains. The idea of carefully collecting belongings for a new venture or stage in your life still feels incredibly relevant and special to me.
Personal style is personal, it’s made up of life experiences, memories, goals and personality. It’s my job to learn the client’s aesthetic and personal preferences and build a wardrobe that fits all those needs. While two clients might own the same sweater, they would rarely wear it the same way. I wanted my brand to reflect their unique and individual style.
So, I asked my clients to be models for the day! We picked out an outfit that emulated their personal style, played dress up and had such a fun day! It was incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to work with my clients on set and weave their personal style into my brand.
I also took some time update my own photos. The last time I had head shots taken was two years. My personal style has changed so much since then and my hair has grown a lot! Those old photos no longer felt like me. It’s really incredible to document these changes with a professional photographer.
A special thank you to the team who made my vision come to life:
