When it comes to boho bridal inspiration, it doesn’t get much better than BHLDN and Terrain. And, as of fall 2018, they become neighbors at the new one-stop-shop in Devon Yard. The compound includes Anthropologie, BHLDN, Amis, Terrain, Terrain Cafe and Terrain Events (the wedding venue). If you haven’t visited yet – run, don’t walk!

Shannon Wellington Weddings dreamed up this incredible shoot and I had the pleasure of working with a talented team of vendors (see below!) to bring you some major inspiration.

The Bride

Our wardrobe goal was to create a mix between (dare I say…*) rustic and drop-dead-glam. For the bride, a simple velvet slip dress by Elizabeth and James is the epitome of understated elegance. Her accessories are BOLD, from her statement earrings, faux fur jacket (aka, Gritty) and copper platform heels, understated is out the window.

*After years of wedding inspiration centered about burlap and lace, the word “rustic” got a bad wrap. But when used properly, I think it’s still relevant.

The Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids wore mismatching yet cohesive dresses that highlighted their personal style. And of course, keeping with our glamorous theme, they needed a little something extra too! An ostrich fur from BHLDN and vintage sequined shrug vintage did the trick!

The Groom

The Groom was dapper as ever in a patterned button down by Michael Kors, tweed blazer by John Varvatos and dark khakis. We opted for no tie because you make your own rules with a getaway car like that!

 

The Decor

Between the faux leather cake by Nutmeg Cake Design, the lush and organic florals by Fresh Design Florist, the outdoor lounge with vintage furniture by Maggpie Vintage Rentals and the table design by Shannon Wellington Weddings, there’s enough inspiration to keep your busy.
