Museum of Women in the Arts | Washington, DC
Amanda and Ben will marry at the Museum of Women in the Arts for a black tie affair. The wedding has a fancy yet comfortable vibe, reminiscent of Napa Valley.
The feature colors are blush, ivory and dusty blue. The bridesmaids will wear light blush (color – “Ballet” by Katie May). The flower arrangements and bouquets are are mostly white with lots of greenery and hints of blush.
Amanda’s gorgeous wedding dress is modern and classic with an angular sweetheart neckline and tulle statement train. The dress is accompanied by a self-belt adorned with sparkly details.
Lauren will source the following items to complete the look:
Hair and makeup will be done by Amie Decker Beauty. Whether you decide on up or down, it never hurts to have a little extra hair 😉 Hair extensions will add volume and help hold the curl. Bellami is a great, affordable option. I would suggest the color the blonde or platinum blonde. Every pack comes with a tester so you can make sure the color is a good match before you open the entire pack and can’t return in.
If you choose to wear your hair up, I would suggest a clean, sleek updo. Not too much “whispy” hair left out. Either parted on the side, or pulled back with lots of volume.
If you choose to wear your hair down, I would suggest a deep side part with clean, loose curls.
Makeup should be soft and highlight your natural beauty. Stick with a pink / peach color palette.
