I’m so excited to finally share one of my favorite weddings from 2016. Cameron and I worked together to style the events around her wedding (you might remember her engagement shoot) and her Big Day too!

The Inspiration

To start, Cameron and I talked in great length about her wedding day vision. Cameron and Sean would say “I do” at the Hermitage Museum & Gardens in Norfolk, VA and celebrate their nuptials at Norfolk Yacht Club. They were going for classic, romantic garden vibes with hints of subtle glam. The ball room reception and Southern inspired food created the perfect mix of laidback elegance the couple was looking for.

Based on their wedding vision, I created a color palette and mood board that we referred to when styling her look.

The Bride

Cameron wanted a timeless, elegant look. Her sweetheart ball gown was belted with beautiful crystals. Cameron’s cathedral veil was her something old and new as it included lace from her mom’s veil.

Our goal with the accessories was to highlight her gorgeous dress and veil, not make a huge statement. The drop pearl earrings complimented her entire look – dress, veil and hairstyle. And the shoes!? These sparkly beauties were exactly the pop of glam Cameron was looking for!

The Groom

From the beginning, Cameron and Sean were set on a classic black tux for the groom and groomsmen. I love how Sean was set apart from the groomsmen with a white bowtie. And of course, you have to love the statement suspenders!

The Details

I guess now is a good time to tell you that Cameron and Sean’s big day just so happened to be the same weekend that Hurricane Matthew tore up the east coast. As you can see, they did not let the rain ruin their big day! Cheers to the happy couple!
